All in Fine, to Near Fine, unread condition. No owners markings or book plates. 16 Volumes in the Set 1888-89, with Asolando published 1894. Plus an 1886 volume Introduction to the Study of Robert Browning's Poetry by Hiram Corson. Plus 1914 volume New Poems By Robert Browning and Elizabeth Barrett Browning. All volumes half bound Moroccan leather with blue textured paper covered boards and attractive matching blue endpapers. 18 volumes measure 4 7/8in x 6 3/4in - the Introduction volume is similarly bound but slightly larger at 5 1/4in x 7 1/2in. Gold tooling on front and back covers with hubbed spines with gold titling - gilt decorated raised bands on spine. Top of text block is gilt decorated. Sewn-in satin, page markers in all volumes. Bindings tight on all volumes. Tiny binders stamp on corner of reverse side of front page and also on page preceding the ending free endpaper. 17 volumes mostly range between 250-350 pp., and are clean and virtually unmarked -Volume #1 has a few pages with small stray pencil marks and small scuff on spine. Volume 2 has one page with a 1 1/4" tear. The Introduction volume is 338 pp - one page with a corner tear. New Poems volume is 184+ pp. - foxing on edge of text block and minor foxing on about a dozen pages mostly last pages of book. Slight uniform age toning to pages throughout. A handsome set that is clean and looks very attractive on the shelf - all books are square and tight.
