Drawings, photographs, and documents are also included. A monumental compilation of the basic information on every ship which helped shape the modern United States from the time of the American Revolution to Nautilus. The arrangement is alphabetical with an historical sketch of each named ship. The history includes tonnage, draft, complement, class etc. Operational history for each ship is included. Each volume includes one or more appendices.
