Description:

This Heirloom Library was originally published by the Franklin Mint Corporation during 1979 through 1983, with special permissions from each original publisher. Each individual volume has a leather banded spine and is richly detailed with 22 kt. gold lettering and decorative tooled patterns on front and back covers. Inside, each volume in this collector's edition is enhanced with vintage color and black-and-white illustrations, woodcuts, paintings, 16th and 17th century engravings, and 19th century prints. Standard Features of the FRANKLIN LIBRARY's Heirloom Library Series include: Quarter Bound Genuine Leather Spines, Gilt-Decorated Raised Spine Bands, Unique Pattern Designs for Each Volume, Richly Decorated Front and Back Covers, Covers Accented in 22KT Gold Tooling, Gold Gilded Page Edges on All Three Sides, Sewn-In Silk Ribbon Page Markers, Long-Lasting Acid-Neutral Papers, Smyth-Sewn Pages for Durability and Distinctive Marbled End Papers. Each book in this collection is in like-new excellent, clean, and unread condition. The pages are crisp and have not been turned, except for a few pages used in the photos. The bindings are tight, and the silk ribbon bookmarks are untouched in their original positions. There are nameplates affixed to the inside flyleaf.
